Elmarie has built up a national reputation as a recognised  voice over artist for both radio and TV commercials, as well as being featured regularly on Station Idents for radio stations around the country and Video and TV presentation, and Documentary Narration.

Elmarie’s voice has soothed Sunday-Morning listeners into her PPI Award-winning radio show, “The Arts House”, on both Cork’s 96FM and C103 for the past two decades. Comfortable chatting about books, film, theatre, and visual arts, Elmarie also ensures that her guests are at ease.

Her ability to connect with a live audience means Elmarie is in regular demand in Cork City and County as an Event MC and Concert Narrator.

From small, intimate arts launches to larger formal events, Elmarie puts in the preparation to ensure dignitaries and audience members are at ease and engaged. She has been a warm presence welcoming everyone to the big celebrations in Cork, from narrating the St Patrick’s Day Parade, to performing MC for the Lord Mayor’s Christmas Concert in Cork City Hall.

For many years she has been the invited presenter for the Opening Gala of the Cork International Choral Festival.

She has been the invited MC for hundreds of charity concerts from Cathedrals to Community Halls, to Stadium events where she has introduced stellar names like Jose Carreras , Katherine Jenkins and Il Divo.

She has enjoyed many nights narrating concert series for Cork Opera House and Cork’s Everyman Theatre.

Her work as a Primary Teacher also means Elmarie has a keen ear for what works in terms of audio comprehension – essential for delivery in Online Learning Courses, Corporate Instruction Videos and Pharmaceutical Narration. She has delivered virtual courses for organisations such as the HSE where clarity and comprehension are key to the success of the message.

That work as a teacher and also her experience as an actress means Elmarie has a sense of fun and an ability to act and do character work, and this is something she enjoys as a voice-over artist as well. She has an excellent voice for recording children’s materials and audio-books.
